TuesdayThoughts

Our Success Stories are many, let me share the heart touching one with you all. While working with UNICEF we happened to train on CCE (Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation). While implementation I used to visit schools for hand holding support. There was a pre-primary child who had special needs. The child would not attend any class and used to roam around in the school all the time, but the moment he would see me there, he would smile and sit in my classroom enjoying every bit of the learning with the tools that was made by our company. Even the parents met me and they were happy that their son was so happy coming to school thereafter.

Stick with the Best

We all have grown up seeing the Fevicol Advertisements on Television. For those who don’t know, Fevicol is an adhesive brand from Pidilite Industries Ltd. Had never thought that I will so closely ever work with the masterminds behind the success of this company, their employees.
English Language Capability Building was the first ever assignment given to us that we did for their manufacturing plant employees. The people who know me also know that this is my favourite language too. Most of the participants were Chemical Engineers from the finest Institutes in our country. Had a great time in the 2 days session. The intervention not only made them to learn the latest techniques, but also motivated them a lot, the confidence level went very high for every member in the batch.
The success of that batch of 17 highly skilled employees not only made us happy and feel accomplished but also reached the ears of their senior management. To our surprise, we were then handed over multiple batches across locations. This added wings to our success stories. Today we are their Coaching & Consulting Partner for across the country and their corporate office. They not only gave us more business, they also introduced us to many other companies and thereafter, we never had to look back.
The title “Stick with the Best” is influenced by their very old marketing tag line “Stick with the best – Fevicol – the professional’s adhesive”.

Time to share another success story….

We were training teachers of rural schools on English Language Capability. It was already 3 months that the implementation was done. It was then the time for mid-term training and we visited again. There
were teachers from various rural schools in that area who had gathered in the training centre. We started the day by asking them to share their learning experiences and the outcome of the implementation in their respective schools. Everyone was given chance to speak. Some said that their students were taking time but very positive, and some said that it was easy for their students to capture the subject with this different style of teaching. There was one teacher whom we just cannot forget for what he shared. He said that the children in his class had already started communicating in English a month back with small sentences like – “May I go to the washroom” and “May I come in please”. It may sound as what’s the big deal in speaking some simple sentences. But it was indeed a big deal, because those students came from families where all their generations were farmers who never went to school, throughout their life they lived in rural areas.
